Q: How should I approach decisions and product feature prioritization?
Another great question and one we wanted to answer via a set of resources we call a stack. But that is for later in the newsletter. The question is so good, we’ll focus on the first part in this newsletter which is how to approach making decisions…
Assess yourself - by understanding your strength and weaknesses, you can make better decisions
Understand what the three senses of product management are
Focus on your energy on being a top 10-30-50 product manager
Understand your inputs, outputs and outcomes
Assess the context of where the decision needs to be made - understanding whether your product is new, mature, or somewhere in between will aid in making the right decisions as the constraints and goals for each stage are different.
Leverage the 3x Framework to understand which stage the product is in
Understand at which level you need to communicate back to leadership and your team
Establish a common set of expectations - doing this early will alleviate a lot of pain and heartburn as the team nears launch
Make the right decision by understanding and focusing on your strength - the goal should not be
Prioritize the right task to get the best outcome in the most efficient manner
Establish early on delegation parameters so that decisions can be made without your input

Q: What is new on the Product Hustle Stack?
This week we added a new content type called a stack. A stack is a mini-collection of resources meant to be consumed as a whole that tries to address a specific topic. Along with that stack, we added 8 new resources.
3x Framework by Kent is a great framework to understand which stage your product is in.
Shreyas 3 Level of product work which will greatly help with how to communicate with the team and leadership
Agreed Target Quality Framework will help establish common quality expectations when it comes to delivery standard for the entire team
Leverage Neutral Overheard (LNO) Effectiveness Framework will help you focus and be more efficient with your time as a Product Manager
Delegation Framework will help establish between product leaders and team members which decisions can be made with some guidance and which can be made independently
Input-Output-Outcome PM Evaluation Framework is a nice framework to help evaluate product managers. Whether that is in existing positions or interviewing for a position.
The 10-30-50 Product Manager is another great framework to help product managers focus on the right skill set or product sense
Till next week!
Sincerely,
